I was raised in Southern Maryland on a working tobacco farm. I remember being in the fields at the young age of 5 yrs old.

Maryland summers are rather brutal with the heat and humidity but the work was a great lesson on work ethic.  A perk living on the farm was I got to drive at 11 yrs old about the same time I learned how to cook. I’d head to the house, leaving my family in the field, while I’d start preparing dinner for a hungry bunch.  When we weren’t in the field, we were in our boat on either the Patuxent River or Chesapeake Bay.  Maryland seafood is incredible – oysters, fish, and most especially the crabs!

Moved to California when I was just turning 30 with two beautiful, little blonde girls and a kitty cat that were all amazing on the cross-country trek. We’ve called Cali home now for over 20 years and it was absolutely the weather that hooked me and never let go.  Now, have two wonderfully successful (still beautiful) daughters and four amazing grandchildren that steal my heart and breath every time I squeeze them.

To add to my many blessings, God saw to spare me from the stroke on 4/7. I believe in Armies of Angels both seen and unseen. My family and friends are the angels I get to hug and thank profusely for being there for me when I needed them the most.

Hi, my name is Terri…. I’m a stroke survivor and this is my story.
